Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9-inch by 9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt the baking chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the arrowroot, water, and maple syrup, whisking to break up any lumps.
- Add the melted chocolate and oil, coconut sugar, vanilla extract, and salt to the mixture, stirring well.
- Incorporate the almond meal to create a thick batter, then stir in the chocolate chips if using.
- Spread the batter evenly into the lined baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the top looks crinkly and fragrant.
