Sweet Pistachio Butter

The nuts

pistachios, shelled, blanched and skinned

almonds, blanched and skinned
The sweetener and seasoning

granulated sugar

hot water

a couple pinches
salt
Instructions
- Blanch the almonds and pistachios by boiling them in water for about a minute.
- Remove the skins from the almonds and pistachios.
- In a medium bowl, combine the nuts with about ½ cup of hot water.
- Use a hand blender to puree the mixture until smooth, adding more water as needed to reach the desired consistency.
- Stir in the granulated sugar, starting with ¼ cup and adjusting to taste.
- Add a couple pinches of salt to enhance the flavor.
