Ingredients

The Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings

The Sauce

  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • cup sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

The Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, then add garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Add red pepper to the butter and whisk together.
  5. Stir in sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, and soy sauce, then let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Split the chicken wings into drummettes and wingettes, drying them with a paper towel.
  7. Season the wings with the seasoning mixture and place them on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  9. Remove wings from the oven and coat them with the honey sriracha sauce, then bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  10. Allow wings to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
