Instructions
- Mix the dry ingredients for the crust in a bowl and blend the eggs separately before combining them.
- Refrigerate the crust dough until needed.
- Slice the fennel and onion, then sauté them in oil until soft, adding water to simmer.
- Chop the ham and prepare the springform pan with parchment.
- Roll out the crust and fit it into the pan, then refrigerate again.
- Brown the ham in oil and mix with the cooked vegetables.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the custard mixture with eggs, cream, milk, lemon zest, pepper, nutmeg, and cheese.
- Pour the custard over the ham and vegetables in the pan and sprinkle with reserved cheese.
- Bake for about an hour until set, then cool before removing from the pan.
