tomato, seeded and sliced thinly into rounds
Instructions
- Prepare the crust by mixing the dry ingredients and then adding the beaten egg to form a dough. Refrigerate until needed.
- Cut parchment to fit the bottom and sides of a 9-inch springform pan, then prepare the crust in the pan.
- For the filling, sauté onions and shallots in oil until soft, then add arugula until wilted and combine with chopped ham.
- In a bowl, mix the custard ingredients together, adding the cheese last, and blend until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture into the prepared crust and arrange tomato slices on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about an hour, until set and golden on top.
- Let cool for 30 minutes before removing from the pan.
