Easy Twisted Croissant French Bread

Butter Packet
Instructions
- Prepare the butter packet by folding parchment paper and placing pieces of butter inside, then flatten it into a thin sheet and chill in the fridge.
- In a stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until foamy.
- Add salt and flour to the yeast mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes until smooth, then let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and place the chilled butter packet in the center.
- Fold the dough over the butter, sealing the edges, then roll it out into a longer rectangle.
- Fold the dough again and let it rest for a few minutes before rolling it into a square.
- Cut the square into strips, twist each strip, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Cover and let the twisted loaves rise until puffy, then bake in a preheated oven until golden, about 20-22 minutes.
- Brush any leaked butter over the top of the warm loaves before serving.
