Easy Twisted Chocolate Croissant French Bread

Chocolate Filling

coarsely chopped semisweet or dark chocolate
Instructions
- Prepare the butter packet by folding parchment paper and placing butter inside, then chill.
- In a stand mixer, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy.
- Add salt and flour, mixing until a soft dough forms; knead for 3-4 minutes.
- Let the dough rise until doubled, about 1 hour, then roll into a rectangle.
- Unfold the chilled butter packet and place it in the center of the dough; fold the dough over the butter.
- Roll the dough into a long rectangle, then sprinkle 2/3 of the chocolate on top and fold the dough.
- Roll into a square and cut into strips, twisting each strip and placing on baking sheets.
- Let the twisted strips rise until puffy, then bake at 375°F for 20-22 minutes.
- Brush with any melted butter from the baking sheet after baking.
