Ingredients

  • ½ cup vegan butter
  • ½ cup organic white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegan milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt
  • 8 ounces vegan chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Cream together the vegan butter and sugars for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the vegan milk and vanilla extract, mixing for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and sea salt.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix gently until fully combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. Scoop out the dough by heaping tablespoons onto baking sheets, leaving 3 inches of space between each cookie.
  7. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 11 to 12 minutes.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
