Instructions
- Drain the chickpeas, reserving the liquid, and place them in a blender or food processor.
- Add garlic, lemon juice, tahini, black pepper, olive oil, and half of the reserved bean liquid.
- Puree the mixture, adding more bean liquid as needed to achieve a smooth, thick consistency.
- Transfer the hummus to a bowl and season with salt if desired.
- Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and basil.
- Garnish with additional chickpeas, a drizzle of olive oil, and fresh basil leaves if desired.
