Ingredients

The mousse

  • 1 cup Fage Yogurt 2%
  • ½ cup low carb powdered sugar
  • 1 ¼ ounces freeze-dried strawberries
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon stevia glycerite
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 large pasteurized egg whites

The whipped cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons low carb powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Powder the freeze-dried strawberries and place them in a bowl.
  2. Add sweetener, lemon juice, vanilla, stevia, and yogurt to the bowl and set aside.
  3. Whip the egg whites until glossy and stiff, then set aside.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and sweetener until stiff.
  5. Mix the yogurt-strawberry mixture until the sweetener dissolves, then blend in a third of the whipped cream.
  6. Fold in half of the remaining whipped cream, then the rest of the whipped cream.
  7. Gently fold in the whipped egg whites in thirds.
  8. Refrigerate for a firmer texture or serve immediately.
