Vegetarian Stir Fry Sauce

Ingredients

  • ΒΌ cup vegetable broth
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon grated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, whisk or shake together the vegetable broth, 4 tablespoons soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame oil.
  2. Taste for seasonings and add the remaining 1 to 2 tablespoons of soy sauce if desired.
  3. To stir-fry, heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high to high heat and add high heat-tolerant cooking oil.
  4. Once hot, add the protein (tofu or tempeh) and cook until starting to brown.
  5. Add in the vegetables and cook until they are vivid and tender.
  6. Add noodles or rice along with the stir-fry sauce and cook for another 2 minutes to heat the sauce and infuse flavors.
