Instructions
- 1. Heat a large dutch oven to medium-high heat and sauté the bacon until crispy.
- 2. Add onions, celery, carrots, and garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent.
- 3. Incorporate the ground beef and sausage, cooking until browned while breaking it up.
- 4. Deglaze the pan with red wine, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
- 5. Stir in the whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, parsley, oregano, and basil, then simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- 6. Finally, add balsamic vinegar and parmesan cheese, stir, and simmer for another 5 minutes before serving.
