Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté 1 cup of chopped onions until translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for about a minute.
- Brown the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces, until no longer pink and drain excess grease.
- Blend the remaining onion and red pepper until smooth and add to the pot.
- Stir in the tomato paste, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and thyme, cooking for 1 minute.
- Add diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, mushrooms, beef broth, and brown sugar, stirring to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in balsamic vinegar and let the sauce rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
