Layered Lasagna

Ingredients

The base

  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 12 oz Lasagna noodles, no-boil or fully cooked

The filling

  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • to taste Desired fillings, such as roasted vegetables

The topping

  • 1 cup Shredded cheese, such as mozzarella and Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Oil a baking dish.
  3. Spread a thin layer of sauce at the bottom of the dish.
  4. Add a layer of noodles, followed by half the ricotta, half of the desired fillings, and more sauce.
  5. Repeat the layering with another set of noodles, the remaining ricotta, remaining fillings, and more sauce.
  6. Top with a final layer of noodles, spread the remaining sauce on top, and sprinkle with shredded cheeses.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until the cheese is browned and bubbling.
