Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground celery seed
  • 2 tablespoons coarse salt
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients for the dry rub in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Use the dry rub on 2 to 3 lbs. of ribs by sprinkling it and massaging it into the meat.
  3. Let the rub sit on the ribs for at least 15 minutes before cooking.
  4. Store any leftover rub in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months.
