Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Drain excess bacon grease, leaving a teaspoon in the skillet.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Add chicken broth, 2 cups of milk, pasta, salt, and pepper to the skillet, and bring to a simmer.
- Cook the pasta for about 8-9 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add asparagus and cook for another 4-5 minutes until tender.
- Blend the remaining milk, cream cheese, and flour until smooth.
- Gradually add the blended mixture to the skillet, stirring quickly to combine.
- Simmer until the sauce thickens, then remove from heat and stir in the bacon and Parmesan cheese.
