Instructions
- Prepare a herb mixture with basil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper, and sprinkle it over the chicken.
- Cook the chicken in an oiled skillet until fully cooked, then let it rest and dice it.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, reserving some pasta water.
- In a clean skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for a minute.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Slowly pour in milk and cream, whisking to combine, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and stir in Neufchatel and Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, then add the diced chicken, steamed asparagus, and crumbled bacon.
- Adjust the consistency with reserved pasta water as needed and serve immediately.
