Simple Veggie Sliders

kidney beans (well rinsed and drained)

raw walnuts (crushed or ground into a loose meal)

vegan Worcestershire or A-1 sauce (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Sauté the diced onion in a skillet over medium-low heat with a bit of oil until soft.
- 2. Add the diced mushrooms and season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned.
- 3. Remove from heat and mash the cooked beans into the mixture, leaving some whole for texture.
- 4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, add quinoa, chili powder or cumin, and stir.
- 5. Gradually mix in crushed walnuts until the mixture is thick enough to form patties.
- 6. Chill the mixture in the fridge for 10-15 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 7. Form the mixture into patties and place on a baking sheet coated with oil.
- 8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- 9. Optionally, form thinner patties and sauté in a skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- 10. Serve on buns or atop greens with desired toppings.
