Simply Roasted Turkey Breast

Ingredients

The turkey

  • 1 half bone-in turkey breast (2.5-3 lbs)

The seasoning

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp poultry seasoning

The garnish

  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place lemon slices in the center.
  3. Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat it dry.
  4. Rub olive oil all over the turkey and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning.
  5. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet and place the turkey skin side down in the pan.
  6. Sauté for about 5 minutes until a golden brown crust forms.
  7. Transfer the turkey to the baking sheet over the lemon slices and cook for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  8. Allow the turkey to cool for 20 minutes, then slice and enjoy.
