Ingredients

The bars

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 18 ounces creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

The topping

  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Coat a 9-inch by 13-inch pan with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Combine corn syrup and sugar in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter.
  4. Add cereal to the pot and stir until evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared pan.
  6. In a separate saucepan, combine butterscotch chips and chocolate chips and heat until melted and smooth.
  7. Spread the melted mixture evenly over the cereal bars.
  8. Cool completely and cut into squares.
