Ingredients

The base

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 8-10 cups rice krispies

The topping

  • 6 ounces chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add the corn syrup and sugar, then bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter until well combined.
  4. Add the rice krispies and mix thoroughly.
  5. Press the mixture into a large baking sheet (11x17 inches).
  6. Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  7. Spread the melted chips over the rice krispie mixture.
  8. Let the chocolate set before cutting into squares.
