Ingredients

The mushrooms

  • 16 oz Bella mushrooms, sliced

The cooking fat

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil or salted butter

The seasoning

Instructions

  1. Rinse the mushrooms in a strainer with cold water and dry them with a towel.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and season with salt.
  4. Sauté the mushrooms for 10-15 minutes, stirring minimally.
  5. Remove the mushrooms when they are glossy and the moisture has evaporated.
  6. For crispier mushrooms, increase the heat and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately as a side dish or topping.
