Instructions
- Combine Kokutō and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove any scum that appears while simmering.
- Turn off the heat when the mixture thickens but is still slightly runny, as it will harden upon cooling.
- Pour the syrup into a sterilized jar for storage.
