Ingredients

The base

  • 8 large croissants

The cream cheese mixture

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup milk

The toppings

  • 3 cups mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Rip the croissants into bite-sized chunks and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy, then let them cool.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt with a mixer until combined.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, then beat until smooth, and finally mix in the milk until creamy.
  5. Add the cooled croissant pieces to a 9x13 dish, sprinkle with berries, and pour the egg mixture over the top.
  6. Gently press the croissants into the egg mixture and cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Let it sit overnight or at least 2 hours before baking.
  8. Bake for 50-55 minutes until the egg mixture has set and the croissants are golden.
  9. Let cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.
