Baked Steelhead Trout

Ingredients

The fish

  • 1 1 - 2 lb Steelhead Filet

The seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3 or 4 Fresh Lemon Slices
  • 2 Tbsp Chives
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the steelhead filet skin side down on it.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice over the filet and reserve some lemon slices.
  4. Sprinkle the filet with kosher salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Place lemon slices on top of the filet.
  6. Sprinkle chives over the filet.
  7. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  8. Bake for about 20 minutes, checking for doneness after 15 minutes.
