The shrimp

extra large shrimp, peeled and deveined

olive oil or vegetable oil

thinly sliced green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together the sauce ingredients in a bowl until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1½ minutes.
- Quickly turn the shrimp and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Whisk the sauce again and pour it into the skillet with the shrimp.
- Cook and stir for about 1 minute until the shrimp are cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- Serve immediately, garnished with green onions if desired.
