Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Instructions
- 1. Heat the olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 2. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned and the liquid evaporates.
- 3. Reduce heat to medium-low, push mushrooms to the side, and add butter, garlic, and thyme; sauté until fragrant.
- 4. Add chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits, and simmer until reduced by half.
- 5. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens to your liking.
- 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with more thyme if desired.
