Ingredients

The meat mixture

  • pounds ground beef or ground turkey
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

The sauce

  • cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For serving

  • Rolls or buns

Instructions

  1. 1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onions and ground meat until the meat is cooked through and onions are translucent.
  2. 2. Drain excess grease from the skillet.
  3. 3. Stir in the tomato paste, BBQ sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  4. 4. Simmer the mixture until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. 5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
