Ingredients

The marinade

  • 3 tablespoons white miso paste
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

The salmon

  • pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons green onions
  • as needed spray cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the miso, mirin, brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  2. Add the salmon fillets to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 20 minutes to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat the broiler and coat a sheet pan with cooking spray.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the pan and spoon any excess marinade over them.
  5. Broil for 8-10 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
