Ingredients

The marinade

  • 2 tablespoons red miso
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

The salmon

  • 1 pound salmon
  • to taste chopped scallions for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine red miso, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a large bowl.
  2. Add salmon fillets to the marinade and coat them well.
  3. Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven broiler on high.
  5. Grease a baking sheet and transfer the marinated salmon to it.
  6. Broil the salmon for 8 minutes or until it reaches the desired internal temperature.
  7. Serve the salmon garnished with chopped scallions.
