Instructions
- Slice the hoagie buns in half and toast them lightly.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup on one half and 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the other half.
- Melt the vegan butter in a skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onion, cooking until softened.
- Remove the onion from the skillet and cook the vegan ground beef according to package directions.
- Add the cooked onion back to the skillet with the beef, breaking up any clumps and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Place the sliced vegan cheddar cheese on top of the beef mixture, cover the skillet, and let the cheese melt.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing the beef and cheese mixture on the bun half with mayonnaise, and adding chopped lettuce and sliced tomatoes to the other half.
- Press the two halves together and serve.
