Maryland Style Crab Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lump Crab Meat
  • 6 tbsp Mayo
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 2 pieces White Bread (Pulsed into Bread crumbs)
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 3 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Parsley

Instructions

  1. Mix together the eggs, mayo, mustard, lemon juice, pepper, Old Bay, and bread crumbs.
  2. Gently fold in the crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
  3. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Form the crab mixture into 8 equal patties, handling gently.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  6. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat and add a coating of oil.
  7. Add the crab cakes to the pan and cook for 5 minutes without flipping.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for another 13-14 minutes until firm and golden brown.
