Instructions
- Blend all ingredients except egg whites until smooth.
- Heat the mixture in a saucepan over low heat, stirring often, until warm but not boiling.
- Whisk egg whites in a bowl until frothy, then add protein powder and mix well.
- Slowly pour the hot chocolate mixture over the egg whites while whisking continuously to temper the eggs.
- Transfer to a cup or bowl, garnish with cacao nibs and a sprinkle of cayenne if desired.
