Zhoug Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 whole jalapenos
  • 1 bundle parsley
  • 1 bundle cilantro
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • a dash cayenne
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • a pinch sugar
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • 1 squeeze lime
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Chop garlic and jalapenos in a food processor.
  2. Add parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, cayenne, cardamom, sugar, salt, and lime juice to the processor and pulse.
  3. With the motor running, drizzle in the olive oil while scraping down the sides until smooth but a little chunky.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more cayenne if desired.
