Pan Seared Oven Roasted Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces boneless beef steak (1 - 1½ pounds, about 1½ inches thick)
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Steak Seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter or Olive oil
  • 4-6 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • ½ bunch rosemary

Instructions

  1. Allow the steak to rest at room temperature for 30-40 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  3. Pat the meat dry using paper towels and season generously with salt and steak seasoning.
  4. Melt butter and oil in a 12-inch cast iron or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear both sides of the steak for about 4-5 minutes until a dark crust forms.
  6. Add crushed garlic and rosemary to the pan.
  7. Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and cook until the internal temperature reaches 135°F to 140°F for medium rare, about 7-10 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.
