Ingredients

The steak

  • 1 piece T-Bone steak

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon ground black pepper

Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until it starts smoking.
  3. Add the garlic and rosemary to the skillet, followed by the steak.
  4. Sear the steak for 4 minutes on one side, then flip it over and add butter to the pan.
  5. Cook the other side for another 4 minutes, basting it with the melted butter.
  6. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving with flaky salt.
