Instant Pot Lentils

green, black, or brown lentils

Instructions
- Combine the lentils and water in the Instant Pot.
- Optionally add salt, but keep in mind it may make lentils firmer.
- Secure the lid and set the steam release valve to sealing.
- Press the Manual or Pressure Cook button to cook at high pressure for 9 minutes.
- After cooking, immediately move the steam release valve to venting to release pressure.
- Once the pressure is released, check the lentils for tenderness.
- If needed, add more water and pressure cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
