Instructions
- Brown the butter in a light-colored skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly until it has a nutty aroma and brown specks appear.
- Cool the browned butter for 5 minutes, then whisk in the brown sugar and granulated sugar, followed by the eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then add the chopped chocolate and pecans, stirring until mixed.
- Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours to 3 days.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) towards the end of the chilling time.
- Scoop the dough into balls and place them on lined baking sheets, spaced 3 inches apart.
- Bake for 13-14 minutes or until the edges are set, then cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
