Salted Caramel Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until fluffy, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
- 2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt, then mix into the wet ingredients until combined.
- 3. Add chocolate chips and pecans, then chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- 5. Roll the dough into balls and place them on the sheets, pressing caramel pieces into the tops.
- 6. Bake for 11-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers look soft.
- 7. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
