Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced jalapeño and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the garlic powder, chipotle pepper, and adobo sauce, cooking for 1 minute.
- Add the raspberries, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cider vinegar, water, liquid smoke, and kosher salt, then bring to a boil.
- Stir in the cornstarch, reduce to a simmer, and cook for 15 minutes until thickened.
- Adjust the heat by adding more adobo sauce to taste.
- Cool the sauce and refrigerate until ready to use.
