Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups steel cut oats
  • 3 cups dairy or non-dairy milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 medium apples, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • teaspoon fine salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine steel cut oats, milk, water, shredded apples, cinnamon, and salt in the Instant Pot.
  2. Lock the lid and set the valve to seal.
  3. Set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 6 minutes, allowing about 10 minutes for pressure to build.
  4. After cooking, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 to 20 minutes before venting any remaining pressure.
  5. Remove the lid and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Serve with your choice of toppings such as chopped apples, toasted pecans, maple syrup, or additional cinnamon.
