Slow Roasted Dutch Oven Pulled Pork

Ingredients

The pork

  • 4 lb boneless pork shoulder (boston butt)
  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1.5 cups apple juice

The pulled pork seasoning

  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar

Instructions

  1. Adjust oven racks and preheat the oven to 300°F.
  2. Combine all seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Remove pork shoulder from packaging and slather with yellow mustard.
  4. Season the pork all over with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Pour apple juice into the dutch oven around the pork.
  6. Cover with a lid and bake in the oven for 5 hours.
  7. Shred the pork with two forks in the dutch oven, mixing with the juices.
