Ingredients

Syrup

  • 1 ½ cup agave nectar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
  • 4 pieces cinnamon sticks
  • ¼ cup pumpkin purée

Latte

  • ½ cup unsweetened, unflavored almond milk
  • cup freshly brewed hot espresso or strongly brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine all syrup ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat over medium-high until boiling.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
  4. To make the latte, froth the almond milk and pour the espresso into a serving mug.
  5. Stir in the pumpkin spice syrup to taste, then pour the frothed milk into the mug, holding back the foam.
  6. Spoon the foam over the latte and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
