Ingredients

The latte

  • ¾ cup dairy-free milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2-3 Tbsp pumpkin purée
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground allspice
  • 1 pinch ground clove
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom (optional)
  • tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1½ – 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 shot espresso
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

For serving

  • to taste Coconut whipped cream
  • to taste Pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Prepare coffee or espresso and set aside.
  2. For the hot version, combine dairy-free milk and water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add pumpkin purée, spices, and maple syrup to the saucepan and whisk until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the coffee or espresso and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  5. For the iced version, combine all ingredients in a jar, add ice, and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds.
  6. Serve hot or iced, optionally topped with coconut whipped cream and spices.
