Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients

The latte

  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong dark coffee
  • 1 cup plant-based milk, unsweetened, unflavored
  • 3 tablespoons canned pumpkin or homemade pumpkin puree
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Garnish (optional)

  • to taste plant-based whipped topping
  • a pinch cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine brewed espresso or coffee, plant-based milk, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, and maple syrup in a small pot.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring with a whisk until warm, but do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and pour into two glasses.
  4. Top with whipped topping and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
