Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs.)

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Optional

  • as needed aluminum foil or thickly-sliced onions or vegetables

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken thoroughly and pat it dry.
  2. Whisk together the paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl and rub the mixture all over the chicken.
  3. Place aluminum foil balls or sliced onions/vegetables in the bottom of the slow cooker to create a rack.
  4. Put the chicken on top of the rack and cover.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and serve as desired.
