Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Breast

BBQ sauce, divided
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and pound it to an even thickness.
- Combine the salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and cayenne in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken and optionally refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400° F.
- Brush both sides of the chicken with avocado oil.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 7 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 7 to 8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 155° F.
- Brush the chicken with about ½ of the BBQ sauce.
- Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until it reaches 160° F.
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving with the remaining BBQ sauce.
