Lemongrass, Cilantro & Garlic Grilled Chicken Wings

Ingredients

The marinade

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 stalks lemongrass or lemon/lime zest
  • 1 cup cilantro sprigs
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • ½ tbsp turmeric
  • ½ tbsp sea salt
  • ½ tbsp pepper

The chicken

  • 10–12 pieces chicken wings

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, lemongrass or zest, cilantro, garlic, turmeric, sea salt, and pepper in a food processor to make a seasoning paste.
  2. Reserve about 2 tbsp of the marinade for drizzling before serving.
  3. Marinate the chicken wings in the paste for 30 minutes.
  4. Prepare the grill for medium direct heat at 350 degrees (375 degrees if using a pellet smoker).
  5. Grill the wings for approximately 15-18 minutes, turning halfway, until the internal temperature reaches 170 degrees.
  6. Remove the wings from the grill and drizzle with the reserved marinade before serving.
