Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Stir in the salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Add the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and 3 tablespoons of water, then bring to a high simmer.
- Reduce to a low simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Scoop the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom buns, top with pickles, and place the top bun on.
- Serve immediately.
