Traditional Scottish Shortbread

Instructions
- Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a 1-inch overhang.
- Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a food processor and pulse until mixed.
- Add the butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Press the dough into the prepared baking pan.
- Prick the dough at 1-inch intervals with a fork and score into 2 x 1-inch bars.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and lightly golden brown.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then cut into bars and let cool completely.
